Design at the Speed of AI: An End-to-End, AI-First Workflow That Ships More Value, Faster

Most teams are experimenting with AI in pockets of their workflow, but very few have a coherent, AI-first way of working, from research through to release. In this engagement, I helped kickstart the modernization of design and product teams’ operating model—embedding AI into insights, design, code, and delivery—so they could deliver higher-quality customer value in a fraction of the time.

Challenge

Design and product teams were under pressure to ship faster, but their process was still largely linear and manual. UX and UI work took weeks to move from concepts in Figma to production-ready experiences. Handoffs between research, design, engineering, and DevOps created friction: PRDs lagged behind reality, design systems weren’t consistently connected to code, and CI/CD pipelines required constant manual babysitting. AI tools were being tested in silos, but without a structured approach they weren’t yet unlocking meaningful, measurable value.

Solution

I kick-started a project for a modern AI-forward design and development process that embeds AI at every step of the value chain. By connecting these pieces into a single AI-first workflow, the team moved from sporadic AI experiments to a repeatable operating model—releasing more customer value, faster, while improving efficiency and tightening the traceability from insight to design, code, and production.
